Portsmouth is a port city and naval base on the south coast of England, located mainly on the island of Portsea. It is known for its maritime legacy and for the Portsmouth Historic Shipyard, where the interactive National Museum of the Royal Navy, the wooden warship HMS Victory (in which Nelson died during the Battle of Trafalgar) and the HMS Warrior are located. 1860. The Mary Rose boat, which belonged to the Tudor dynasty navy, is also preserved in a shipyard museum.
